A Class II A2 biological safety cabinet with 100% filterable air using a HEPA filter, designed for basic cell biology, microbiology, biomedicine, biosafety laboratories, and other laboratory environments requiring triple protection for the operator, product, and environment. The model features a single exhaust HEPA filter and a main HEPA or ULPA filter, with a 70% downflow and 30% exhaust airflow pattern, 100% of the work area ISO Class 3 for HR1200-IIA2 and ISO Class 4 for HR900-IIA2, and operation with low-noise, low-power DC/EC fans.
The Class II A2 cabinet can connect to an external exhaust unit via an optional rear-bottom exhaust port, enabling use with low-level volatile chemicals and trace nuclides in addition to moderately hazardous biological agents. Airflow receives pre-filtration treatment before reaching the HEPA filters, extending their service life. The airflow is automatically regulated by the control system to maintain safety conditions even with flow variation or partial filter saturation, with audible and visual alarm if operating parameters deviate.
The work surface can be removed for cleaning and disinfection, and the tempered glass door can be manually adjusted to different working positions or subjected to programmable automatic sterilization cycles. The UV light is set via a single operation key, with a programmable sterilization interval from 0 to 24 hours, allowing cycle adjustment to match the work routine and reducing downtime. An interlock between the UV lamp, illumination lamp, front window, and fan motor ensures the UV light can only turn on when the illumination lamp is off, preventing incorrect operation.
The DC/EC fans operate with lower noise and better airflow uniformity, consuming less power. The LCD display shows operating parameters, filter lifetimes, and alarm status. Audible and visual alarms include hardware malfunction, parameter overrun, end-of-life alerts for filters and UV lamps, and more. Two IP44 waterproof sockets with timed on/off function improve safety and energy conservation.
