A ductless fume hood equipped with activated‑carbon filtration, designed to protect laboratory personnel and the environment from toxic chemical fumes, odours, and particulates generated during routine chemical handling. The HTF‑1200W and HTF‑1500W models feature high‑efficiency EC fans, standard VOC sensors, stackable carbon filters, and 10‑inch touchscreen control, making them suitable for universities, public health facilities, chemical and petrochemical industries, toxicology laboratories, and museums that use volatile chemicals on a regular basis.
The hood operates in ductless mode — with no external ductwork required — recirculating treated air back into the laboratory after passage through activated‑carbon filters designed to remove toxic gases, hazardous vapours, and odours. Multiple stackable filter types can be combined in a single application, optimising the system for a range of organic contaminants and particulates at the same time. Intelligent constant‑velocity control automatically adjusts the EC fan speed to compensate for changes in filter resistance, maintaining containment performance over the entire filter service life.
The control panel’s 10‑inch touchscreen displays VOC concentration, airflow speed, filter service life, and UV lamp running time in real time, with warnings if filter or UV‑lamp life falls below 10%. The standard VOC sensor detects volatile organic compounds in the exhaust airstream and triggers audible and visual alarms to indicate filter saturation, signaling the need for replacement or predictive maintenance. The EC fan provides energy‑efficient, low‑noise, highly reliable operation, with a rated power of 1.200 W for the HTF‑1200W and 1.300 W for the HTF‑1500W.
The worktop is powder‑coated steel, with integrated tempered‑glass sliding sash, PIR occupancy sensor, and wind‑speed, temperature, and humidity sensors. In intelligent mode, the PIR detects when the work area has been unoccupied for more than 15 minutes and automatically switches to LNS (low‑noise saving) mode, reducing power and energy consumption. The system typically includes two IP44 sockets on each side of the hood, with programmable on/off timing for enhanced safety and energy savings.
