A CO₂ incubator for cell culture from the E-Series, available in three capacities — 80 L, 170 L, and 258 L —, featuring automatic 90°C moist-heat sterilization in a 14-hour cycle without component disassembly, ISO Class 5 HEPA filtration as a standard item, ±0.1°C precision temperature control via six-sided fuzzy PID heating, and a next-generation NDIR IR sensor with silicon MEMS transmitter. The E-Series is the ideal solution for laboratories requiring a reproducible, contamination-free cell culture environment with full sterilization cycles without the 180°C thermal peak of the B-Series — suitable for chambers housing sensors and electronic components that cannot withstand B-Series temperatures.
Temperature control operates within a maximum fluctuation of ±0.1°C, with a recovery time of just 4 minutes after a 30-second door opening (return to programmed 37°C), guaranteed by active six-sided chamber heating based on the fuzzy PID control principle. Two relative humidity levels are maintained by the system: ≥90% (high-humidity mode) and ≥80% (low-humidity mode), with a water reservoir and integrated water-level sensor with audio-visual alarm. The operating temperature range spans from ambient temperature +3°C to 55°C, with 0.1°C programming resolution and a high-precision PT1000 sensor.
The next-generation NDIR IR sensor with silicon MEMS transmitter withstands up to 100°C, is compatible with over 300 dry-heat sterilization cycles (where applicable), operates with less than 0.3% drift over 2 years, features integrated temperature and humidity compensation and five-point calibration — delivering CO₂ control accuracy of ±0.1% (0.1% programming resolution) across the 0–20% range. After a 30-second door opening, CO₂ concentration returns to 5% within 4 minutes. For the HCP-80E and HCP-168E models, O₂ concentration control in the 1–21% range is optional.
Moist heat sterilization at 90°C effectively eliminates microorganisms including bacillus and spores in an automatic 14-hour cycle with no internal component disassembly and no chemical consumables — a fundamental distinction of the E-Series compared to the B-Series, which uses 180°C dry heat. ISO Class 5 HEPA filtration is included as standard equipment in the E-Series, ensuring that all air circulating through the chamber is filtered to remove particles and biological contaminants. The inner glass door heating system actively prevents condensation, eliminating the risk of microbial contamination associated with moisture.
The microprocessor control panel with 4-inch LCD display presents data in both numerical and graphical formats (historical curves) for temperature, CO₂ concentration, and O₂ concentration. The integrated data logger with USB output stores the full history of operational parameters and alarm events for traceability and regulatory compliance. The optional 4–20 mA output and optional GSM monitoring enable integration with external supervision systems. Fuzzy PID airflow circulation control continuously ensures stability and homogeneity inside the chamber throughout culture cycles.

Applications
The HCP-80E / HCP-168E / HCP-258E series is designed for biomedical research laboratories, universities, hospitals, cell and molecular biology research centers, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, and cell banks requiring a high-reproducibility cell culture environment with precise CO₂ and O₂ control and effective sterilization without exposure to 180°C — especially relevant when the chamber houses sensors or electronic components sensitive to the maximum temperature of the B-Series. Standard HEPA filtration as an included item positions the E-Series as the highest base-level microbiological protection option for extended culture runs and high-value cell lines.
The three chamber sizes enable precise capacity dimensioning based on culture volume and the number of simultaneous active cultures, with optional three- or six-section inner doors (HCP-168E) or eight-section inner doors (HCP-258E) to reduce gas consumption per opening, and compatibility with optional O₂ control, GSM, 4–20 mA output, and automatic CO₂ cylinder switching modules — making the series scalable and integrable across diverse laboratory infrastructures.
