The 304 stainless‑steel work surface includes an automatic pre‑clean cycle that removes surface contaminants before sample handling begins. The UV sterilisation lamp implements a start‑up delay function: when the UV button is pressed, audible and visual alarms alert the operator to leave the area, and the system waits 10 seconds before full UV activation, reducing the risk of direct exposure. The UV lamp can be programmed from 0 to 24 hours, using one‑key preset and automatic on/off sequencing to standardise cycles and reduce waiting time between runs.
The microprocessor‑based control panel features durable push‑button touch switches and memory functions that save end‑of‑cycle settings, avoid repeated manual reconfiguration, and log operating parameters. A mandatory interlock between the fluorescent work lamp and UV lamp ensures the UV lamp can only run when the main lamp is off, and any turn‑on of the fluorescent lamp immediately cuts UV output, preventing unsafe operation.
